Whisky connoisseurs and friends are invited to rest and relax in this very convivial den; to debate the issues of the day and, importantly, who is plotting against whom.

The banter, declamation, scandal, and gossip will never pass these walls but the experience will be forever imprinted in memory. It is exactly the type of place that Hugh Latimer (of Christchurch’s Latimer Square fame) would’ve liked to imbibe while fermenting unrest and discussing politics. (His actual bar of choice was the White Horse Tavern, London – but that name seemed a bit hackneyed…) So, exchange ideas, and raise a glass from our fine whisky collection; from Glenmorangie 25 year to Waitui honey malt whiskey, and toast friends and other fine fellows including Latimer and his fellow martyr Master Nicholas Ridley.
